9(S)-Hexahydrocannabinol-d9 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of 9(S)-hexahydrocannabinol by GC- or LC-MS. 9(S)-Hexahydrocannabinol is structurally similar to known phytocannabinoids.[1] It induces drowsiness, decreased motor activity, occasional partial ptosis, and occasional head drop, markers of psychotropic activity, in rhesus monkeys.[2] This product is intended for research and forensic applications.
