7-Hydroxyflavone is a plant flavonoid that has diverse biological activities.1,2,3,4 It inhibits enterovirus 71 (EV71) replication in infected RD cells (EC50 = 19.95 ?M).1 7-Hydroxyflavone (20 ?M) reduces nicotine-induced production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and cytotoxicity in NRK-52E cells.2 It inhibits LPS-induced production of nitric oxide (NO), prostaglandin E2 , TNF-α, and IL-6 in RAW 264.7 cells.3 In vivo, 7-hydroxyflavone reduces acetic acid-induced writhing in mice (ED50 = 125 mg/kg).4
