(3R,5R)-Rosuvastatin is a potential impurity found in bulk preparations of the HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor rosuvastatin.1 It is a degradation product formed by acid or base hydrolysis, thermal, photolytic, hydrolytic, or oxidative stress, or during storage.
