1-Docosahexaenoyl-rac-glycerol is a monoacylglycerol that contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA;) at the sn-1 position. It reduces smooth muscle tension induced by endothelin-1 (ET-1) in isolated human pulmonary arteries (HPAs) when used at concentrations ranging from 1 to 30 µM.[1] 1-Docosahexaenoyl-rac-glycerol also reduces ET-1-induced increases in HPA cell proliferation and VEGF levels.
