1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-PG (sodium salt) is an anionic phospholipid that plays a significant role in the structure and function of cell membranes[1]. 1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-PG (sodium salt) is wildly used in the preparation of liposomes and other artificial membrane systems for studying the behavior of membrane proteins[2], drug delivery mechanisms[3][4], and the structure and function of cell membranes[5].
1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-PG (sodium salt) can suppress the production of inflammatory mediators induced by recombinant S100A9 through both TLR2 and TLR4 pathways. In RAW264.7 cells, treatment with 100mg/ml DOPG and 2.5mg/ml S100A9 for 2 hours significantly inhibit the expression of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor-α)[6].
1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-PG (sodium salt) in water (prepared by sonicating a 1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-PG (sodium salt) lipid film in deionized water) applied to the imiquimod (IMQ) treated mouse skin can inhibited IMQ-induced psoriasiform phenotype such as ear thickness and epidermal hyperplasia[6].
